How We Read a CDU Piping Drawing Before Quoting
The five questions our engineers try to answer from a drawing - and the ones we send back when the drawing is silent.
%s
A quotation that ignores an interface is a change order waiting to happen. Before we price a CDU block or a secondary-side header we read the drawing for flow and isolation scheme, connection types, port pitch, material call-out and the acceptance criteria for the finished assembly.
Where the drawing is silent - for example on coolant composition or the required certificate level - we ask rather than assume. The quotation then states exactly what has been included: material grade, joint method, surface treatment, verification and documentation.
Key Points
- Connection type and interface standard must match the CDU and rack drawings exactly.
- Coolant chemistry drives material and joint selection, so it is confirmed at review.
- Verification and documentation scope are written into the quote instead of implied.
