Setting a Leak-Test Acceptance Criterion for a Custom Assembly
Why the acceptance limit, test medium and stabilisation time belong in the project specification before fabrication starts.
%s
A leak-test result cannot be interpreted without the conditions under which it was obtained. For custom assemblies we agree the test method, the medium, the stabilisation period, the acceptance criterion and the record format as part of the engineering review.
We helium leak test custom assemblies and carry out hydraulic pressure testing, then issue the results with the shipment. The numeric acceptance limit is a project-specific value set by the buyer's specification; we do not publish a universal figure as if it applied to every loop.
Key Points
- Agree method, medium, stabilisation and acceptance limit before building.
- Record the result against a specific assembly and drawing revision.
- Keep the leak-test record distinct from the material certificate.
